Certified Payroll Reporting (CPR) is Still Required on Public Works

The DIR issued a clarification about Certified Payroll Reports (required) and the mandate to upload them electronically using the DIR’s eCPR system (optional but not mandatory).

In short: The electronic CPR system was not working for all contractors’ computer/operating/CPR systems.  Legislation had required contractors not only keep Certified Payroll Reports but also upload them electronically beginning Jan 1, 2016.  Because the eCPR system wasn’t working for all contractors, the mandate to upload them electronically was delayed.  The mandate to record and keep CPRs continues.

Contractors whose systems work with eCPR are encouraged to keep uploading their CPRs.
